We got a heavy bag in my basement today, and my roomate took boxing for a bit, so he's teaching me basic stuff.



R.I.P My dainty assed wrists. I Kinda like that shyt......

Man I'm debating finding a gym to do some boxing training, I like the emphasis on strength opposed to size.

Boxing is less about strength and more about speed of mind and body. There are styles where strength plays a larger role (like with swarmers and brawlers) but they've been significantly neutered since like the 90s because of how the rules are enforced due to infighting. ideally tho Boxing training is a great all-around approach to fitness, and if trained right can be a viable self defense method. I endorse...

And it's fun. I made some good friends through that shyt.

did my first set of deadstop db rows on 155lbs for 10 reps today. second set 9 reps, third set 7 reps. :ohlawd: my lats have never felt more traumatized. time to start rockin the 175lb db's for sets/reps now :shaq:
