HIIT class was damn near all cardio yesterday:mjlol::mjcry: Eight rounds of tabata wall balls and battle rope (that wasn't all either:sadcam:) is just demonic friends.


Taking all my skrength not to stuff my face today. Pray my jamaican spot got chicken breasts today. :francis:

@bold - Good look, I needed that. Whenever I unrack and go through the reps + sets, I get the general sense the weights are heavy. However, I checked out Built With Science (Youtube Channel). He had breakdowns on form and targeted zone. For instance Deadlift - activates V taper and is felt on upper back and traps. I don't feel any of that -- all I feel is lower back.

Purpose of MMC as per my understanding is an indication of the muscle group being targeted. Squat -- feel hips =, glutes, activated etc. But I'm going to bring nutrition on point first


Yeah, like @tampabaysbeast said, I wouldn't be too concerned with MMC while doing Stronglifts. Just really focus on your form and weight progression. Unless you're really controlled with the movement it's hard to gauge a MMC with heavy compound movements.

My gym just sent this out

We all know that Coronavirus is with us. We are ALL concerned AND trying not to panic.

I am leaving the home health recommendations to your doctor and your choice of information source. I will let you know how UBF is changing during these times.

  • We are asking EVERYONE to wash your hands when you come INTO the gym and when you LEAVE.
  • We are cleaning DB handles, kettlebell handles and equipment handles DAILY with Lysol wipes.
  • We have swapped the Simply Green spray bottles around the gym with Lysol. More will be added on the floor soon.
  • We will be putting spray bottles on the cardio equipment by tomorrow with Lysol liquid in it. Please DO NOT spray it DIRECTLY on the machine. Please spray on either a towel or paper towel. Spraying directly on the console will short out the electrical panel.

NOTICES:

  • We will ask anyone having a coughing or sneezing spell (not the occasional cough or sneeze) to leave the gym. I know it is allergy season but we will err on the side of caution.
  • If you have an above normal temperature, please DO NOT come into the gym.
  • You will be asked to leave the gym, if you do not cover your nose and mouth when you do have an occasional sneeze or cough. Immediately go was your hands should you blow you nose, cough or sneeze.
