I usually approach it this way:Lighter weights with more reps or heavy weights and lower reps?
What about flys?
@African_brehda This is anecdotal but for me personally I’ve never been able to move heavy weight on BP. I’ve kind of given up on that and focused more on the movement and really feeling each rep and I’ve generally gotten better results that way. Not that you don’t want to be stronger there but I’ve started focusing more on a better rep on a weight I don’t have to bounce as opposed to the opposite.
Don’t get me wrong I’m always done to improve but me trying to bounce a PR off my chest ain’t helping me at this point.Think I'll climb up to 120kg on bench and call it a day, as far as my max strength for that goes. I was at 100kg before lockdown, started training last week and I can only move 80kg max![]()
