On Fully Body Sage Mode cycles I'm front or back squatting every training day (45-75 minutes) and pulling 1-3x a week (least 30 minutes).
On Upper/Lower x3:
- I'm squatting 12 sets + warm-ups on Tues then sumo deadlifting 30-45 minutes
- I'm front squatting 30-45 minutes then deadlifting 12 sets + warm-ups on Thurs
- I'm squatting at least 9 sets + warm-ups on Sat (usually singles) then sumo deadlifting 30-45 minutes
On PHAT I'm squatting and deadlifting both on Lower Body Power days.
On PPL I'm sometimes adding front squats to Pull Days.
That’s an intense regime right there but you’e one of The Gym’s OG.
Question for you: Can I get away with just doing back squats or is there benefit in front squats? What’s the difference in terms of lower body engagement?
