Wear belts Brehs.....

I'm probably one of the more stronger cats here, who has essentially been power lifting for the past 4/5 years, injury / pain free, fukk belts, go raw, if you use bad technique that's on you....

No excuses, no apologies...
No single source convinces me of anything, I could hop on google and find a bunch of arguments both ways

That reference linked was focused on lifting belts in the workplace. The part about athletic performance was under-referenced and too opinion based. His opinions seemed to rest around the idea that you must use bad form to lift with a belt, which is a garbage notion.

Anecdotes dont mean much either, considering I could easily post up a ton of anecdotes right now from people who are injury free using them.

The point of it all is that people should research for themselves and make up their own minds. Telling them to "be a man" is wrong on multiple levels

Its also ironic that stronglifts has that article when the guy that runs stronglifts uses one.

:whoa: :whoa: :whoa:

We can go ti t for tac, but I'm firm believer, that improper technique is the underlying clause for why people get back pain / can't improve their strength numbers.

Not to mention all of my professors and athletic coaches have stron gly lobbied against the usage, because it de emphasizes integral core muscles

Speaking of carbs, what are the benefits of getting on a high carb diet?

Also what rows do you guys do to hit your traps: barbell, cable, or dumbell?

Hitting traps directly >

Behind the back smith shrugs with a squeeze at top made my traps blow up.

Oh man, I plateaued hard these last couple of sessions, and it's all due to these pressure headaches :dead:

Yesterday was reverse pyramid for bench press and incline bench press. Started out at 200 on the bench. I got through my six reps, but then I got this gigantic headache, and it affected the rest of my workout. I was able to get to eight on my next set (at 180), but I could feel the headache creeping back on me. I only got through four reps of my final set (at 160, the goal was ten) before my head started to feel it again.

I have to practice breathing right with heavy weights :whew:
