Depends on how you want to program:How long should one rest after lifting weights? Like do you lift weights everyday, or do you lift weights one day, and rest the next? Does lifting everyday stunt muscle growth, do you need rest for the muscles to grow?
Some people work individual body parts over the course of the week for 6-7 days. Some do full body routines 3-4 times. Some people divide into Upper Body and Lower Body session twice per week for both halves.
You do want to give muscles a chance to repair but I think that's more centered around sleep than anything else.
