I pride myself on being a nice guy. I know I'm a "big guy" and I know what I'm capable of so I'm kind to everyone I pass. That said, I'm the first to confront a "bully"
Had to put a dude in his place at the gym today, couldn't help but notice him doing a bunch of giant super sets practically trying to use the whole gym. No big deal at all, get your work in.
Problem was he'd hover over people with the "you done? How many sets" when wanted what they were using and he'd stink eye em to make them uncomfortable to the point they'd move. I observed it 3 different times, twice to older folks once to a clearly pregnant young lady.
kid was on juice (if you know the signs it's easy to tell) so I'm sure he's not used to being confronted, especially not aggressively
I take my headphones off and walk up to him and ask him what's up with the hovering on people etc.
He's all of 5'8 maybe 200 but he's sitting so he puffs his chest up stands up belts out "the fukk you talking about bro?"
I think he expected a step back or something because he froze when he got up. I didn't say a word just stared down on him for a moment and let reality hit, I'm almost a foot taller, much longer reach, 60lbs on him and have him cornered.
So I politely talked to him about his poor etiquette, I wasn't disrespectful plus I gave him an out by not being loud about it, kid was visibly embarrassed because he knew there wasn't much he could do but stand down. .. so we spoke quiet and soft . .. he finished his set and quietly exited the gym.
Wasn't my intention to run him off I just HATE that kinda shyt. Do your thing but there's no reason to be dikk to others just because. .. Especially people who can't/ won't stick up for themselves.
Fukk that.
