I have partially torn labrum, from an MRI. It seems to be affecting my thigh muscles. They are constantly tight. If I massage it, the lower back pain goes away. But it comes back again. No amount of massage or stretching takes it away. I take OTC ibuprofen which helps. I am guessing the pain in my hip is triggering the muscles around it to tighten. Haven't done squats in a long time except once and it wasn't a lot of weight.Diagnosed with a torn labrum and hip impingement, but yeah pain around gluteus medius(like upper ridge of the hip bone(illiac crest) and lower back(less so). Wouldn't even call it tightness, sometimes sharp, sometimes dull, honestly just an overall state of discomfort. Groin pain, as well some weird tugging pain around my lowest rib which is probably from the psoas muscle thats originates from hip. Also have sciatic nerve pain. Sometimes get pudendal nerve pain(genital area
), hardly ever tho. No hamstring pain.
Are you experiencing pain in the areas you mentioned?
How much running do I have to do to lose my arm jiggle? I feel I’m losing everywhere except my arms
I really only run for like 15min. That’s all I can do before my back starts acting up. But I also strength train like 4 days a week. And still........![]()
I doooooooooo. This why it’s so frustrating. I lift weights and do push-ups. I’m deadlift. I do all of thatRunning isn't gonna do much for that tbh, you gonna have to hit some weights light to moderate lifting and pushups.

I’m not really looking for definition. I want to get the fat down. I don’t really lift heavy. 25 on dumbbells and 80 on deadlifts. How heavy are you lifting? I never really develop muscles in my arms. My biceps get firm but the insides (tri) always take me extra work and specific focus to get rid of fat - running will help them get smaller but by itself won't give you definition, unless you try adding arm weights or something.
full body training>>>>>push/pull/legs for my personal fitness goals...lifting 3 days a week vs 5 is way better for me and I feel better.
Genetically that might be where you hold fat the easiestI’m not really looking for definition. I want to get the fat down. I don’t really lift heavy. 25 on dumbbells and 80 on deadlifts.
I remember many years back when It had to be 4 days at the least, 7 days at the most because I thought 4 days out the gym is to long and I might lose my Gainz and strengthfull body training>>>>>push/pull/legs for my personal fitness goals...lifting 3 days a week vs 5 is way better for me and I feel better.
Stretching for me is just temporary relief too. I would consider getting it fixed for two reasons: (1) it doesn't heal on its own due to lack of sufficient blood flow, (2) theres a good chance it will get worse and that would lead to the need for hip replacement when you're older. You need to also check if theres any hip impingement going on.I have partially torn labrum, from an MRI. It seems to be affecting my thigh muscles. They are constantly tight. I do foam roller too. That's temporary.
I've already gotten an MRI/arthrogram. I'll be getting surgery soon.Stretching for me is just temporary relief too.
