We do it for the love of the game. Not for trophies, fame or acclaim, but the muthafkin game :wow::mjcry:

Jokes aside, I gotta give credit to my fellas. Rain, snow, sleet, hail etc we’ll always field at least 9v9. Lowkey we got some soccer junkies in the area and I’m one of them. :russ:

We have a committed group because it’s hard to find an organized and somewhat competitive weekend group with a good field/pitch in DC to play with. The best fields are in NoVA but no one has time for that.

Our field is in Shaw so it’s pretty well located. Add in the fact that we run from 10am-Noonish so it’s early enough where you can do stuff with your day afterwards, but late enough where you can sleep in a bit.

We got a few fair weather players though :francis:

the 2nd half gym week after eating good (:wow:) for 5 days...was not bad

yesterday was my usual cardio circuit routine and today was calisthenics and legs..my legs are :dead: status right now

at least the weather is super nice into next week...might go do something active for saturday..like swim and/or play some ball..do some non gym related active things for once lol

i resisted that temptation on my way home from the gym...i have a weakness for ice cream from cumberland farms when the weather is nice :wow:

oxtails and rice/beans for dinner and some water
