Squats and deads @ bw (225#)
Started w the bar off the rack each round for the squats. Then threw in a btn split jerk after the last rep of squats each round before dropping the bar for deads. Then a hang squat clean after the last rep of deads each round before re racking the bar to complete each round.
Even though I primarily use deads (especially heavier weight) as a low rep power movement, I find wods like these help me w grip work and technique when I’m pre exhausted before each set. Really forcing me to pay close attention to tempo, form and controlled negatives on each rep has helped me w my heavier sets on power days.
Even at 8am this morning the real feel was at 95 degrees w over 70% humidity. It was brutal, especially the last 2 runs
Earned those drinks by the pool after though.
