A lot of cats be adding accessory work for every little thing, to the point that they start "majoring in the minors" and the accessory work begins to overshadow the main lift work. (This assumes they're even doing appropriate main lift work in the first place.)
Again, for someone who pulls more than anyone else here, that's just what's worked for me.

Also not frying your CNS will help, as a symptom of CNS fatigue is decreased grip strength.
One of the dudes in here telling you to work it directly is also using straps on the trap bar, so there's that...
