I was thinking about this the other day. Some young black males dreams are relatively easy to do but low success rate;rapping, sports, drug dealing etc.
I had a friend in high school who bought his own car, from small time drug money($1500 4 door. Chevy) this dude acting like it was a big accomplishment that he had reached. Other than fast food he never had a job and he dropped outa high school.
I'm thinking that's what you lived for, this nikka ain't even 30 with a 15 yr old daughter(4kids in all).
I think there many factors. But I think the biggest is that they put to much stock in the wrong things. And are two close minded/brainwashed to branch out.
I hope they haven't. I would like to say they are lazy and don't have their priorities in order. Which is something that can be changed. But the young black male seems to inherently work against themselves. Popular music to young black males incourages crab like behavior.
I'm trying to find an excuse not to agree, but I can't.
the problem is that other avenues of success or not that easy to find
rappers, entertainers, athletes success stories are everywhere for young black dudes to gravitate towards
no other lanes are presentable to them and even if they are...it seems so foriegn to them they cant fully understand the dedication and motivation it took...
name one black success story we have outside of Jayz, obama, or some other mainstream bullshyt?
one black ceo story? black invention story? we aint got none
the dudes that truly want success are gonna get it however
the drug game killed off alot of black doctors, scientist, lawyers
thats a big ass gap we still aint bounced back from...the dope game( crack specifically)...it had the same effects as slavery
lil dudes need to be motivated in different ways besides the athlete, rapper, entertainer image
but i agree wit you just addin my lil 2 cents
