A lot of those points on the list are fair to hold against Houston and Fertitta. Not wanting to buyout Wall isn't one of them. Unless Wall is willing to leave money on the table, then a buyout doesn't benefit Houston as they would be footing the bill while another team signs him on the minimum.

Blake was willing to give up $13 million to get out of Detroit and go elsewhere when it was obvious that no one else was trading for his contract. If both Wall and Love really wanted out of their current situations, then they'd do the same.

My Pops Forever RIP
That was the conversation they had with him during the summer, specifically at summer league when the entire rockets team came out to support Green and get some reps in. They approached Wall about t coming off the bench and he didn’t want to and that’s when they came to the agreement mutually that he wouldn’t play . Wall wants to start and run the show

and where does Wall think he has a starting spot waiting for him?

He says he wants to compete for and earn the starting spot, they're telling him they won't even give him the opportunity to. Trade him, buy him out, or fine them :yeshrug:

For the record: they don't have to play him. That's like fining the Nets because they won't play Kyrie on the road.

What do you guys think his value is in the open market if he was a free agent right now?

they said he can come off the bench, he refused
Not he refused to come off of the bench, he refused to come off of the bench for guys he knows he’s better than. This is like Iverson in Memphis ten years ago.

If they were DESPERATE to get out of their situations they’d do the same. You can really want something but not be willing to give up millions upon millions of dollars to get it though. Choices.

He can’t. He’s due for another $40m next year too. But I’m sure he’d love to play. Cause after next year who knows.
what is exactly the plan anyways? nobody is trading for a guy coming off a achilles who isnt playing

i really dont understand the situation, he has to play to rebuild his value, so hes sitting next year as well?

I think they/him overestimated his demand. Maybe they figured someone would take the chance. I don’t get it either, probably has to do with them trying to develop Green and Porter, probably wanted to tank this season as well. I’m guessing he’ll play sometime this year.
