I hadn't spoke on it yet but we did go see 'Bring Her Back' this weekend and to be honest, we left with a lot of questions. First, I'll get into the good. I thought the acting was really good, we both did. They had to carry some emotional scenes and they hit. There was some nice cinematography as well and some scenes were pretty sick, disgusting, in a good way. Looked like some great practical effects.
The outline of the story wasn't an issue. We enjoyed the concept. But after about an hour or so, we needed to see a little bit more information on these plot lines. We've talked about this before, whatever rules a movie has, I'm good to go as long as they are explaining the rules and following them.
That's where I felt this movie came apart because a lot went unexplained and I truly don't think we missed anything.

How exactly do the sacrifices work? How do the transmissions work? Who was the kidnapped kid and why was he important? What's the deal with the "demon" or whatever it was and how was it summoned? What's it's purpose? You can piece some of these things together but not all. Also, where did the mother even get the tapes from to run with?
Not terrible but I think it could have been executed better...

I didn't realize I Am Legend popped like that too. I remember loving that movie until I read the book, but I didn't think it did so well globally.
