Nba is a business...
Rule 1 of business...
Nothing matters until someone signs a contract...
What's funny is that in the business world people do this all the time...say they will sign on somewhere and then sign on somewhere else...
Owners do it all the time...talk that team shyt...talk that unity shyt...promise that "if you have a big year we going to give you an extension"
But when a player does it...all of a sudden we need to "change the rule"
I wonder why
These dumb ass Owners and GM's already have an entire fukking CBA to protect them from themselves...and now we got to make another rule to save them from making dumb decisions :yeah ok:
There is nothing wrong with how NBA free agency is structured...there is something wrong with a guy who is as cocky as cuban and as smart as cuban is supposed to be not being able to convince a person to take an 80 million dollar contract in a state that has no state tax...
There is something wrong with us hearing way more about Chandler Parsons recruiting Deandre than we here about Mark Cuban recruiting Deandre...
There is something wrong with Cuban and Dan Fegan...Deandre agent...being close personal friends...and now Deandre saying he felt pressured by Fegan to go to the Mavs...that's pretty much collusion...
If reports are to be believed...there is something wrong with Fegan telling Doc that if Deandre stays he got to trade Chris Paul...as if that would actually happen...
Seems like Fegan made it pretty much impossible for the clippers to keep Deandre while doing everything he could to make sure Deandre signed with Dallas...
Which should give you some insight into just how fukking stupid and inept mark cuban is...
Even with tampering, collusion, and an agent goosing the game for him this fukking dumbass still can't outright sign a big name free agent...
Cuban is quickly rising up the list of people I think are way more lucky than smart cause he sure as shyt doesn't seem to know how to get giant men to take 10 of millions of his money while being able to assure said giant man that the state of texas won't tax him for any of it...
