Yep fish n seafood, thing is it's ingrained in my cultural upbringing from where my family is from (the carribbean coast) thus i found it at the time 4 yrs ago very fond to make the change to just eating stuff from the sea

Though the optimal thing would be consuming no meat at all like you said i dont want no animal to suffer just for them to be consumed by me especially knowing how vicious the fishing industry is

I used to be vegan for years until recently I started with dairy again and eggs, I have depression and not enough money because of living benefit of anxiety/depression illness since HS.
Im also scared I runied my body abit when didnt take in enough aminoacids that are found high in eggs and stuff for muscles. I lost alot of weight not eating enough n was underweight too for some years and that made my skin sagg :( I lost muscletissue in face and stuff, when loosing weight is not good it take away and eats away tissue other than fat u know, ive gained back som now but it isent as tight as it used to be :(
I mainly started being one because I thought about suicide everyday so didnt want to have bad karma in next life if it exists.
Quinoa has a good amino acid profile, avocados & other healthy plant fats do too. Try eating natto for a bit and see what happens with your skin, you can get it at Japanese grocery stores or make it. Might be a bone thing along with muscle tissue like you're suspecting. The K2 found in natto should be consumed by every vegan. I think vitamin K can be turned into K2 by a healthy gut, but I'm more of a cook/experimenter than a scientist. Seriously, try it.

Also that one guy who had a bit to say on the law of karma stated suicide is about the worst thing to do. Better to eat some meat and acknowledge what it went through if that's what can get a healthier baseline back

You guys Im not trying to say its impossible to be vegan or bad, I did it for compassion of animals, I still dont eat meat and I will try to avoid eggs and dairy that comes from industry, there are som farms around here that have chickens in open spaces that Im trying to buy the eggs from. I only recently went back to eggs and milk, its not like I might not change it back someday again. And it is great cutting out dairy in terms of acne and skin I read, fat from dairy like cheese clot the blood making the oxygen to the skin less.
It isent only meat/eggs/dairy thats bad, they test all kinds of things, makeup, creams, cleaning stuff, soap, detergents, on animals like dogs and bunnies. I dont think I should post those images, but yeah google it, its horrible.

What's your average week like?

I started pescatarian 2 weeks ago and mainly been eating shrimp and salmon and I had some whiting and tuna.

It's hard for me to find wild salmon so what are some other good low mercury alternatves?

1. So should I throw away this farm raised salmon that I have?

2. I read which fish to avoid for high mercury levels so I stick to a select few.

Any other advice for a new pescatarian???

Besides the shrimp salmon n tuna i eat alotta vegetables they are perhaps the most important if you really tryna do this the long way

So a normal dinner for me is usually the typical carbs (potatoes, rice or pasta) some cooked/fried vegetables, from broccoli to peppers fennel flavored with spices and sauce

EDIT dont forget the salad they’re perfect for those extra minerals that are needed

I've been trying to reduce my meat intake, so far I manage to eat vegetarian at least three times a week, but five of six days isn't all that uncommon either. I do it mainly by just leaving meat out, I cook a lot and I find I can easily make for example my pasta sauce without any meat without it tasting less good to me. Other days I eat fish. I need to keep this up, maybe go full veg in a while but that is a commitment I'm not yet willing to make.

Center your diet around legumes rather than seafood. Fish are super high in rare earth metals and still have a lot of saturated fat and cholesterol. and not as healthy as beans, lentils, tofu, tempeh split peas etc for a few reasons. Legumes are rich in fiber, protein, prebiotics for your gut, and in some cases even antioxidants (black beans, colored lentils).

If you don't like them yet, there are easy ways to work them in foods you like. Hummus veggie wraps, split pea soup, gumbos with kidney beans, tofu stir fry, veggie chili etc.

Thanks.

I love black beans.

Might do that tonight.

Any easy recipes?
