How does a young black man with no trade experience at all get an apprenticship in nyc:patrice:?

From what I hear theyre hard to get without a refrence or trade school
Really the thunf about trades are beibg a man. Yiu gotta go ask tgem. Eveb hit up a job site and ask to speak to a foreman and azk him for work. You cant sit on your pc and ask nikkas questions you need to go where you see men working and ask for work

Because it’s a hard job, I use to work with my uncle at a construction site when I was growing up. My uncle was a carpenter, he tried to put me onto it. The pay was brutal, and it was the hardest work I ever did in my life. It motivated me to become a STEM breh, I knew my soft hands weren’t built for that life.:hubie:

My uncle tried to get my brother into it too, and he didn’t like it either. He became a truck driver. Carpentry is filled with illegals in New York, they turn a lot of brehs off from getting into construction cause the illegals will take below minimum wage.
A lot of brehs will choose truck driving before working in those trades.

How long does it take to be a truck driver and how hard is it?

Aren't they automating those jobs soon?

For a considerable amount of men, there is a gratifying feeling in knowing that you have the ability to fix things, build shyt, and create things from scratch.
Women like men that can fix shyt too. It’s so masculine. These new nikkas don’t even own tool boxes.

It's deeper than that

Willing to get your hands dirty u can't rich

I liquidate hotels and do installations. That's taking old furniture out and selling it. All pros. And installing the new furniture. Wall mounts desk n such.

My last contract took 3 weeks and was for 45k.. Paid my 6 guys and came out with a lil under 30k in 3 weeks.

You can move furniture out of houses for 150 bucks 3 times a day. There's Sooooo many ways to get money no degree no diploma just hard work. The games to be sold not told tho.

I could book you nikkas a job moving pool tables right now and full make 300 to 450. Playset assembly 400 to 600 etc. Do ya research shyt is easy.

A lotta schools have taken trades out of their schools right along with any other authentic learning experiences to place more emphasis on making kids great test takers. Being a good test taker can get u far, but we end up punishing kids who don't give a fukk about taking tests who have other talents, whereas past educational systems had a better balance of academics and practical skills.

i wanted to learn a trade after high school, but when it came time to apply to postsecondary programs, my parents did all they can to steer me towards university. i was horrible at math so i could only get into a B.A. program. now i'm stuck with a degree in political science that i can't use. can't go to grad school either bc my gpa was too low. not to mention i'm broke as shyt :mjlol:

but at least my parents got to tell their church friends that their son was studying at [prestigious local university]:ehh:

my nikkas who went to university are either still living at home or struggling to find work in their industry or have a basic ass job like a teacher for example, and have never earnt more than i have :yeshrug:

i gotta keep getting in nikkas ears about trades.. it's such an easy way to the middle class. and if you are half smart, you can start your own business pretty early in your career.. imagine being in your mid to late 20's, not working for the man but yourself?
