Suns in the second apron for a team that can't win a playoff game, and all they can really do is run it back :laff:

Rockets, Spurs, and Grizzlies will all be better next year. They might not even make the playoffs :laff:

They’ll make the playoffs with this core, but that’s about it.

It proves that you can’t build a team with multiple star players anymore

League is too talented for that now

I know Wolves got two number 1 picks, but still

You can build a team with multiple stars, but they need to have complementary skill sets.

Clippers
All the Clippers have under contract for next year are Leonard, George, Powell, Tucker, Zubac, Mann, and Westbrook.
George and Leonard are getting $100 million next year, but PG only has 1 season left
$54 million to Zubac, Mann, Tucker and Powell is tough though. And no Harden on the books yet (free agent). Plus, their Big 4 are all 33-36 years old right now.
Clippers dont control any of their 1st round picks until 2030
Clippers are in LA and have new arena coming

Suns
Durant under contract for 2 years, Beal for next 3, and Booker for next 4 (and Nurkic for next 2)
Paying these 4 $172 million next year, and $185 million in '25-'26
Beal has ONLY NON TRADE CLAUSE IN NBA
Booker is only 28, but Nurkic (30), Beal (31) and Durant (36)
I forgot Grayson Allen, who just re-upped (starting lineup is $188 million next year and $202 million in '25-'26)
After 1st round pick this year (terrible draft), dont control 1st round pick unitl 2031

This debate is easily the Clippers are in a better spot, and they arent in a good spot to begin with.

If you're the GM of the Suns or Clippers, what are 2-3 big moves you make in the offseason? @#1 pick

Suns at this very moment, maybe Clippers in a couple months once the Harden & PG situations play out :patrice:
