The thing is now is that they're trying to put R&B & Hip-Hop in the same box for us....Guys like Drake, Tory Lanez, Ty$ kill 2 birds with one stone. Since that is the current style in urban music thats hot right now, the right black female has to come along thats a rapper/singer hybrid who blends both genres together.
Something that sounds like this
But I'll say a Nicki Minaj lite that sings more than raps.
She also has to be somewhat of a sex symbol...just like Beyonce, Nikki & Rihanna.
She also has to have a strong fanbase thats loyal
And she also has to be big enough to where she can call shots and have writing camps to keep the hits rolling in.
Sadly, real black female singers have no spot on the radio....Even if your ratcheting up, its still not easy to breakthrough. I remember a time when they were pushing white ratchetness hard for a min (Lady Gaga, Kesha), but they dialed it back on it. Once white people discovered Adele, I knew it would be a wrap. Now they pushing music that uplifts the white community. They're not in business of looking for a "Black" Adele, they're gonna be looking for a new Adele thats the same shade.Adele a white singer makes uplifting ballads that you hear every fukking you turn it on, but they sure won't push a black female singer on there doing the samething.
