You're just throwing a whole bunch of solutions at me with no explanation as to how you'd get that to happen or support those endeavors. :jbhmm:
Im gonna start a business and I speak to many black people about doing it too.

Are you gonna join me or nah?

That's not what I mean
when abuse comes up (and not just with blacks, everyone does this) , instead of admonishing the actions themselves, what always gets talked about is avoiding unsavory characters (men and women) so abuse doesn't happen

but people don't have to pass checkpoints to earn the ability to abuse
they just need to feel like abusing you in that moment
like if when abuse comes up and all that gets said is "women need to leave the thugs alone", where does it leave the older woman who gets slapped up by her white collar husband occasionally. Where does it leave the young man whos girlfriend slaps him in the the face and the back of the head in public when he says stuff she doesn't like?

The thing is, I can't actually do anything to stop it from occurring and if people were real they'd realize it's much bigger than telling men not to hit women. Most of kind of stuff goes on behind closed doors and is systemic of the culture. What am I going to do? Put on a cape and be the protector of abused damsels everywhere?

I can only handle my business and be a black man who doesn't do it. I don't listen to hardcore rap music mostly for this very reason. I try to tell people not to listen to it whenever I can. I try to tell people not to support things that are bad for our culture.
I try to tell people not to support this or that but they think I'm preachy . You see how people react to phon-zi for pointing out these very same things.

I want to see a structured plan for this black business, and then I may support it, much like I have supported many endeavors for the empowerment of black people before.

see you don't have to do anything
but when you enter a discussion about domestic abuse, what I think you should not do, is try to profile abusers and the abused

Its general decision making skills and actions that they are referring to when they say leave hood dudes alone. Improving decision making skills and actions is beneficial.

When the people in your examples improve their decision making skills and actions then they would leave as soon as they enter those scenarios.
why is more emphasis put on making a decision after an act and not the act itself

the reason you guys are getting so much pushback is that it's coming off like you're saying abuse is normal

Good to see that you support black businesses.

Unlike people who just talk about it Im actually doing it.

I hate men who abuse women but I can only do so much to get men to stop abusing women and women can do their part as well to help limit the amount of cases of abuse by not letting these men get a chance to do it by cutting them off as soon as it happens or if they see signs of it possibly happening.

How does a woman not give a man a chance to abuse her if she doesn't know he's an abuser?

By cutting him off when he shows red flags.

Some (not all) women ignore red flags that even I have seen and Im just a observer. That needs to stop.
