Thanks random blk man for trying to get ur come up off bashing and stereotyping the women of ur race. Blk women are probably the least materialistic of ALL races, most willing to get in the trenches and financially contribute to our relationships if not carry them completely, most educated demographic in America,

And this dude couldn't think of any other way to depict his women...

I could easily draw a picture of a blk man being led around on a chain by a white woman with suggestively saggin pants crawling through the glass of white acceptance with drugs, absentee fathers, hoods and unemployment makin him take every inch. But it seems that some blk men are only sensitive to blk male stereotypes.
Agree with the bolded.

He's the artist tho. We can't dictate his emotion or his art. I'm ok with him feeling how he feels because, as art is supposed to do, it opens up these types of discussions. I also feel black women are displayed in a bad light. When, as Jemele Hill stated so eloquently, they are our closet allies.

So the hypocrites over at LSA are going nuts over this art piece. At first glance I thought the art looked salacious and insulting to black women, but after further inspection I see a deeper meaning to it all.

In the painting to the right, a naked black woman's eyes are censored and she's giving blowjobs to BMW dikks. I thought the BMW dikks were black at first but on second thought they look white. I think the artist means to portray the notion that black women sell their souls and dignity, in real and disgusting terms, to cacs and their money. It's ghetto gaggers and materialism.

I don't get the left painting though. Black girl lost selling her soul to social media for attention?:patrice:

The artist says it has nothing to do with race, though. He just painted a black woman because that's the woman he's most familiar with.

This is true for almost every product we buy other than food. People throw 800 bucks at iPhones when they only cost 50-60 bucks to make, same for clothes, cars, tv's... everything. Nobody buys products for the manufacturing price.

And no I'm not a sneaker fiend, Jordan head or whatever they call themselves. It's just not a fair argument.
I'm not arguing its any different from those though. I'm just pointing out that just like the iphones, jordans and other products, everyone is getting fukked in one way or another to get the material things they want.

The painting in the OP is just singling out one specific subject in a list of subjects you mentioned.

Even more interesting the guy who painted it sounds like he's either African or an immigrant. The women depicted in his art are... African-American I'm guessing?:sas2:

it's a fair argument when nothing makes jordans better than a 50 dollar pair of shoes.

Truth and logic
so let's clarify here. women dismissing what we're saying doesn't have impact, even though you birth and raise the next generation?

That is not what I said.

i'm tired of yall complaining about not being valued, while refusing to understand what gives you value in the first place. what do you believe gives women inherent value?

no, i'm talking about our own communities as well. i know we're living backwards, compared to most other patriarchal communities. you still didn't even list the double standards. you both get extremely vague when i ask for specifics.

:dead: what, how is this true or even privileges. so, if a black man is visibly wearing a "bad day" with his face and mannerisms, you think it's all good for us? i could list about a hundred of these petty ass "privileges" that benefit black women over black men.

end of the day, black women want to be promoted, protected, valued, just like other group of women. only difference, you want it on your terms, and that's never going to happen. you aint going to get your perfect, simp, matriarchy. BW will also not get collective protection or value, until yall come to terms with what it requires.

Ok.

Definitely a interesting concept, but majority just gonna see the act of her on her knees sucking instead of looking at the context.

This the exact same metaphor like when someone says so and so company is trying to fukk me over.

Demand dictates price. As with everything in our capitalist system. Nothing makes any pair of shoes worth 2-300 dollars. A 20,000 dollar rolex is not 20k worth of parts or labor. There is a profit to be made and people are willing to pay the outrageous prices. That makes them worth more than 50 dollars.
