How did Peyton Manning survive so many underwhelming playoff performances? His defenses weren't bad

He’s a choke artist clown, bills went to 4 Super Bowls and don’t have shyt to show for it but ticket stubs. You can go to 10 Super Bowls and still choke…

This alien head fakkit is fading into obscurity quicker than I thought. Went from a supposed “goat” to barely mentioned at all. He isn’t even better than his little brother in big games :russ:

How is he fading when he's top 5 in most QB stats?

it was pouring out that whole game nobody was gonna throw for 400 yards that day

It wasn’t “pouring out” the whole game and compared to mannings other super bowl avgs, it’s debatable if it made much of difference since that’s arguably his best super bowl performance.

Doesn’t matter like I said anyway, only 2 Super Bowl dude has were gifted to him by his team’s play and defense. Not his qb play, could’ve subbed in any number of qbs and got the same results or better

He was forced into the goat convo for awhile, now it’s “he’s top 5 in stats” :russ:

Now he’s just mentioned as a great qb :yeshrug:

until these young cats with 17 game seasons start to push this clown further into irrelevancy…

He was among the discussion until Tom solidified his position since he retired.

“Was”

He’s fading out of the convo…entirely, like I said so why are you quoting me again…?

Rodgers is as good as any Qb who’s ever lived. he’s on a team that never goes all in to win.

Chiefs lose in the SB and they revamp the entire oline even while they have cap issues for Mahomes

Rodgers gets to two NfC title games in a row and the Packers don’t get any skill position players for him they draft his replacement and a backup RB in the first two rounds in 2020 and as usual sign no impact free agents

I feel sorry for him. Kinda reminds me of Marino. Maybe he gets the Elway treatment near the end of his career. But maybe he’s starting to realize he won’t go much further with that franchise.

Folk shytting in ARod are stupid. He is a top 5 QB without question. His greatness will be realized when he’s gone.

it was pouring out most of the game

so in a year where he had 31 tds 8 ints leading the second ranked offense where the defense was ranked 23rd just because he didn’t put up huge numbers in the SB the defense carried him to a SB that year lol

That’s some tremendous logic

Game was within a score going into the 4th, Rex threw that pick 6 and the colts defense took care of the rest.

Point is 5 head didn’t win the game, colts defense did their job and the bears lost it…at best Peyton was a high end game manager for that game.

bruh don’t bring that basketball shyt here. You don’t win a SB by yourself. It is an entire team effort. Minute someone talks that individual shot thry lose me in the conversation.

No you stop it.

No QB is making multiple Super Bowls with that defense. End of discussion.
But I thought Aaron was supposed to be this super human QB. That's how y'all talk about him anyway. Now y'all sitting up here making excuses for him. SMH

Like I said, he's not what y'all think he is. End of discussion.

Peyton was criticized a lot for his losses. People hated that he got such positive press and praise for his play but didn't have the playoff resume. Even after he won a chip, had the neck injury and returned, breaking records, people dismissed him as a playoff choker and a regular season player. Him getting that last, final ring was the last thing he needed to teflon his career.

It wasn't like Rodgers either, Rodgers has been in a drought but most people have understood and can see with their own eyes that it's not his fault he hasn't won more.
