Day 5 and I am feeling great. No alcohol or sweets. Lifting heavy, boxing classes, taking my supplements, eating whatever the fukk I want, counting calories/protein following the rules, drinking hella water and diet soda when I choose to.

Getting good sleep. This is the lifestyle. :blessed:

Why do they make lifting and nutrition so hard and complicated?

Just wanted to share brehs...feeling good. I am on the path to something glorious right now. I can feel it. Thanks brehs

Damn homies. Feeling real :flabbynsick: After hearing peoples before stats. I been lifting and working out for years but I'm one of them dudes that go ham, get to a good weight, then for one life event or injury or some shyt, workouts slow or stop and then old food habits start creepin back.

Here we go with my od embarrassing stats lol.
6'2"
275

Got skinny man legs so most of my weight is just that visceral gross hanging belly fat.

Gonna get back on my shyt so that I'm close to on point by my bday in May.

I don't disagree but I'm interested to know your thoughts on why.
from personal experience i needed all the calories to make it through the full workouts 5 days a week. it's a big program and it definitely takes a few weeks for your body to adjust to the volume, especially if it's your first time running it. trying it on a reduced caloric intake sounds rough. maybe an abbreviated version but the actual program is big on its own.

I agree sir. With the version I have carved out its a ton of volume. Layne's specific version has to be :wow:

That said the energy required seems to make me have these ridiculous hunger spikes towards the end of the lift week and rest days. Combine that with IF and I've been in a terrible cycle of basically dirty bulking for months.

On one hand the program is :noah: on the other I have to be honest with how I have let it influence my nutrition.

Long story short I have to throw IF in the bushes and eat more frequently. I'm working on the set-up now. I would rather lift in this manner than eat in IF.

ultimately IF can work if you plan it correctly

imo PHAT goes better with something like PSMF(low cal, high protein on rep days; high cal high carb on power days)

problem is im not sold on PSMF as a long term thing. At the end of the day as i said id clean bulk while doing PHAT i got pretty good gains. On my bodyspace its apparent over the course of PHAT where i barely changed in weight but all my measurements(save waist/midaxillary) all went up

its a great program. And truth be told the closer you can get to Layne's actual setup the better in hindsight

So how much protein can you take if minimum is 100. What is the effect of taking more or less?
