Just hit my brother up on the text.
"Starting tonight! Gym every single day for a month and clean eating."

I've been slacking and the main reason, besides horrible eating habits, has been because I'm not comfortable with the idea of going to the gym alone like that. I think having a partner would make it easier for spots, and for friendly competition.
Why go to the gym every day?

could do cardio off and on with lifting :manny:

its possible and I did it for awhile. Its draining though if you have any kind of real responsibilities

It seems like a recipe to get burned out. When I lost a lot of weight the most I went to the gym was probably 5 days a week.

People get Gung ho in the beginning and then they hit the reality that a month goes by and the changes aren't drastic and just give up. This isn't an all out sprint to the finish line it's really about making it there at all because most never finish the race but they start out running Damn hard.

Since I've started I run a mile a day on the treadmill with moderate lifting depending on how my body feels. I've been very careful avoiding injury and not overworking any one muscle group. I've lost 7 pounds in 15 days. I've completely changed my diet. No soda or juice. Only water. No fried foods at all. For protein I've been eating beans, grilled or baked chicken or fish, and eggs. I've been trying to eat salad here and there but I'm not a fan of cold foods. I have turkey and whole wheat bread that I use to make a plain turkey sandwich for lunch every now and then. I haven't been counting calories because I've been eating way better than ever and seeing results on the scale, and in my strength/cardio.

So far, I've enjoyed my time in the gym and I havent been starving myself.

I've made it a routine to hit the gym from 6pm - 7pm everyday rain or shine. Depending on my results I may scale it back to 3 - 4 times a week, but I'd like to get closer to my target weight before looking at cutting back.

If you're serious about losing weight you need a food journal so you can plan out your meals for the day. Taking 5 minutes before you eat your first meal and planning out everything you'll eat for the day is easier than going to the gym 7 days a week and is more beneficial if your target is to lose weight. You also should have a food scale if you're losing weight.

I've lost 7 pounds in 15 days.
I wouldn't expect results like that to continue. Having lost 20 pounds a month for 3 months straight, let me tell you it was brutal to maintain that weight loss rate. I would do stuff like go to the gym and workout until the gym equipment said I burned 2000 calories then I would go home and only take in my BMR worth of calories. I left the gym days and sweated so hard it looked like I was standing in a downpour. It was very difficult.

I work out 3-4 times a week and stick to my workout plan. I got my macros calculated. My bf is about 19% :mjcry:
Still my aim was to get bigger first like I said in post #1180 but I asap need to work on that flabby and sick stomach :flabbynsick: of mine. That gut is frustrating as hell because I look decent overall. Is about 4x30 abs every session and 30 minutes of treadmill at the end of every work out session enough ? And should the cardio be low or high intensity ? @MMSex

if you stay in a caloric deficit, are lifting, and getting adequate protein the stomach fat will disappear

be patient and stay dedicated, fat loss doesnt happen overnight

if staying in deficit is an issue, consider intermittent fasting(eating only within a window) i do this so that it doesnt make it feel like im eating like a bird.

also abs are like any other muscle, you work it out to make them bigger and they grow during rest. Simply doing crunches isnt going to make the fat go away...being in a caloric deficit does that. How you achieve that depends on activity and how much you eat

id say until you get to ~12% stick to low intensity cardio

How tall are you? Unless you are really short I don't see why you would try it.

There is a point of diminishing return on cutting especially hormone wise.

Wouldn't more cardio burn more calories?
