Espn can’t allow that (They wouldn’t exist). It’s most lucrative shows are ESPN first take and Get up and those are heavily reliant on NBA and NFL content. Plus ESPN relies on the NBA on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
ESPN can’t let it go to network.

Correct. It will move to ESPN+ first before it moves to ABC like that. People forget that's the entire reason how ESPN was able to charge cable companies insane amount of money for those channels all those years.

Yep. They can simulcast. I work for local news and there are problems associated with putting games on network(staying late to run the newscast, overtime, etc) I just says network though because that’s the easiest way to get ratings. There’s still people out here with no cable and internet

ABC and ESPN are both under Disney but it doesn’t they are on the same wavelength. Bob costas highlighted how ESPN needs to allow the NBA to be more on their ABC network. Disney can force ESPN to do it but there’s certain autonomy between the two.
