That's on point. I want to expound on that. You have to know the rigors of the game and who you are as a person. I've seen females eat dudes alive. Most guys have this idealized image of having a roster of women. I did and got a rude awakening. The dating game is sink or swim but I learned to dance underwater and not get wet. ;-)
As for a homeboy of mine, he didnt fair so well. He was always raw meat to the wolves. Met a preacher's daughter after HS graduation, she took his virginity and his heart. Few years into it, other females started feeling the kid a bit and he started getting that
itch. It was summertime, me and the other homies were out pumpin & dumpin the hoodrats. lol He was the only one booed up on the sidelines, but was seeing some residual choosin from the girls we were around. He was always fighting temptations. lol I guess one day he gave in and broke up with his chick. Fair thing to do. He started doing his thing with a few chicks but never smashed - I guess he still felt allegiance to his ex. As exes do, he was still hittin it every now and again, but she stopped that bc she ended up moving on emotionally. One day he got a whiff of how frivilous and ruthless the game could be. He told me how a chick he was dealing with played him to the left. He didnt take the rejection well at all. He was gonna get back with his ex. "Man this sh!t aint like ya'll told me. I'm not no player," is what I recall him saying. He hold me the single life is grimier than relationships.
He called his ex from work one day and told her he was on his way over to her apartment to talk about them getting serious again. She told him not to waste his gasoline. Apparently another n!gga was already over there. He couldnt take the shoe being on the other foot. Dude FLIPPED OUT. "This is what you wanted, right?" is what she asked him. The hilarity which ensued therafter I will not disclose bc its way too long to describe but I will say, I'm glad he didnt find them bc he would've killed the dude, her and himself. He ended up marrying her 4 months later.

They now have two kids. He's
stone miserable. Everytime I see him, he talks about that
itch becoming stronger and stronger...
