Here is one aspect that we should think about as men. I call it the jungle mentality.
If you somehow got stranded in the jungle by yourself and only a knife, it would ultimately be up to you to survive. When it comes to procuring your own food or water, there would be no such things as excuses. Either you find out how to survive or you perish.

Now this mentality is important to have because in our everyday life, we find many areas in which we feel insufficient. We can sit around making 10,000 excuses and completely avoiding that weakness or get depressed or we can take that jungle mentality and put the onus on ourselves that we WILL improve that aspect of our lives. Failure is simply not an option.

You can only accept what reality gives you. Most people you will meet have transitory mindsets. They're here today, gone tomorrow. You get overly attached and you're in for some bigtime headaches. Nobody really wants it to be like that, but we simply have to adapt to what our environment presents. When a woman has shown to be of sufficient moral character and has demonstrated loyalty, sure, you can let your guards down... but even then, given human nature, you should never give yourself over 100 percent to another person to where their actions can destroy you.

truth be told I think marriages based on love are the ones that are most likely to fail. The way society and marriage is constructed nowadays it is more of an economical and familial decision than anything else. An old homegirl was the first one to put me on this knowledge when I told her I think marriage was a sham. Love fades. Personalities shift and change. People arent stable enough for love to be a reliable reason to marry somebody

Anything is possible, love is just a emotion and many times are fleeting, tslk to many married folks who have been married for years and that strong love and passion has been gone.

A marriage just based on love will most likely head to failure, you'll always think with your emotions


To me keys to a successful marriage are communication, soneone who matches up with your morals, views you as valuable, has been there through the muck and the blessings.
