How did u get so much knowledge bro.. I always enjoy see your post because you always dropping Gems&Game
I've just always enjoyed life man. So I've never been satisfied with surface level, go along to get along understandings that don't allow me to be real with myself and others. My favorite thing in the world is to be in good company with other people, unwinding and talking about what's real in our lives.
I've always been philosophical, but I really started going hard about 5 years ago when I left my job as a newspaper writer to move from Virginia to LA to follow my dream of writing for TV shows and doing standup comedy.
It was a ballsy, scary thing to do, so I was listening to motivational speaker Eric Thomas a lot and stole a copy of Think and Grow Rich from the job before I bounced
Me and my wife sold everything and drove all the way across the country and started over, living mostly off of my ability to work from home freelance writing for crazy hours, which I still do today.
In balancing the hunt of getting our money up, chasing my dream, figuring out myself as a man and a person, understanding the meaning of life, and keeping my marriage afloat, which experienced turbulence, I became crazy hungry for knowledge. So while working these crazy hours I'm listening to a crazy amount of content and reading books to help my life.
And I would always apply that knowledge to help me or to build understandings. I'm not rich or anything but have been out in LA for 5 years so the confidence of making it work solidifies these priciples for me to the point that I have a lot of understandings and just get hungrier for more knowledge every step of the way.
That's why I say having a path and a mission on this journey is so important
If it was just about getting rich and famous I would have been folded. But I hated my old job and getting out of bed every morning, so this journey of dream chasing and self improvement for me is really about freedom.
