I'ma tell ya'll something and its gonna sound like a broken record but it cant be said enough. "Working on yourself is all you should be doing.." I havent even sniffed my first paycheck yet and I'm already feeling myself that much more.

During lunch I went to Futureshop (best buy for americans) to get a Microsd card for my new phone. I picked up the card and went to pay at the cashier. By surprise i saw some random shorty cashiering that I tried to spit at in public (out of boredom during lunch last fall, shes a 6.5/10 at best). Shorty took my number and didnt even call or text me.

I paid for my shyt, got out of there and couldnt help but think to myself, "what the hell was I doing hollering at this chick before :mjlol:" as I walked out the store. Like damn, that was the same job I had when I was 17 years old (six years ago)..

Even more now do I realize that I'm the real prize out here. Nevermind these women who although they look average, and work a menial job making $11 an hour got dudes (like me formerly) hollering at them just because they're horny; leading the girls to think theyre the shyt as a result. I simply cant be bothered and havent been bothered for a while to try and bag a chick who I don't see as being a quality person outside of her looks. And that aint even to sound like a snob but being in a different tax bracket puts things into perspective. I've worked hard to be in my position so I'll demand a similar level of quality from whomever I'm messing with. Doesn't matter if its wifey or a booty call either.

No longer will it ever be "how fat is her ass?" or "how nice is her weave?" :patrice:

It's a matter of:

"What did she study in university?" - Sociology? :usure: ---- Chemistry? :ehh:
"How much debt does she likely have?" She's paying it down every month? :ehh:, She's letting it sit while buying designer clothing and eating out for dinner every day? :usure:
"What does she do in her spare time?" Attention whores on twitter and IG? :usure: , Volunteers and goes to the gym? :ehh:
"Whats her bread game like?" Salary :ehh: Low hourly wage? :usure:

This goes out to dudes like @RealAssanova . The ends must justify the means. Leave the finicky, time wasting girls alone and focus on yourself. 'Cause when you focus on yourself and get results A) nothing else will even seem relevant anymore and B) nobody can take your progress away from you the same way they can take your girl..

That pay raise I got...until we enter another recession I probably wont have to take anything less than $60K that ever again. And itll keep increasing.

That girl you might smashed a couple months ago and the fat nut you bust on her forehead...where is it/she now? Your first real girlfriend? Where is she at now? That money you spent to pay for dinner or valentines gifts? Where are the gifts and food at now?

The ends don't justify the means with most of these women. :francis:

Same and I wish I stuck to minoring in Math or Comp Sci. What made you wanna pursue computer / software programming?

Video games were something I always loved and it was something that I wanted to make. I dabbled with programming when I was younger, but I initially found it too difficult. When I was coming out of high school, I remember hearing all of these reports about the tech industry being flooded and how it wasn't a great industry to get into due to too much competition, yada yada, so I decided to do something different. After getting a degree in accounting, I found I simply do not like accounting.

Although accounting is a separate profession entirely from financial analysis, accounting is often recommended as a degree by a lot of mutual fund managers due to the fact that you will be reading a lot of financial statements. Therefore, it makes sense to be intimately aware of how they are constructed in order to be able to interpret them... Ultimately, I realized that I found accounting utterly boring, so I would never be great in a situation where I would have to sit around all day and read financial statements.

I prefer to construct things, so I decided to go and do something I know I'd really enjoy and be competent in. The difference in my study habits between accounting and programming/computer science related topics is monumental. I can spend the whole day reading about different subjects in programming and never feel bored. On the other hand, I would struggle reading 10 pages of accounting or even financial related material a day on my own. I did thoroughly enjoy reading about the philosophical basis of investing among the greats like Buffett, Peter Lynch, etc., but me actually spending all day reading financial statements to look for bargains would bore me. I think it's important to find something you thoroughly enjoy. It could be the difference between mediocrity and greatness.

If a woman flakes as in cancels at the last moment or just bothers not showing up, then it's a no go. Keep it pushing. If she gives you a warning ahead of time, as in she legitimately has something to do that came up and she reschedules, that's fine. On the other hand, just cancelling at the last moment or not bothering to give you a notification as she ghosts shows how little she values you.

Ultimately, men in this day and age have to respect themselves more. If you bothered not showing up to an interview or canceling like 5 minutes before the interview, is that company going to give you another chance at their leisure? I think men simply overvalue the average woman WAY too much in this day and age. She can be disrespectful and bring absolutely nothing to the table and yet dudes will willingly stand there to take the abuse and even have the idea that they need to do something to EARN her affection. If a woman doesn't see you as valuable, move on.

On another note, never let your degree confine your learning... meaning if you want to learn about computer science topics or math, buy a book and read up on them. You will actually end up learning just as much, if not way more than you did in school. There are countless math and comp. sci resources available online for free... Youtube is a huge source of information on those subjects.

We were walking past each other and she was walking with her coworker, and I can see her looking at me as we walked past each other thinking I would acknowledge and say something to her, I Just kept it moving, that shyt felt great :banderas:. I'm probably going to get that "hey how are you doing" text pretty soon from her.

a lot more.

The funny thing is that during school I taught myself 80% of what I know just by skipping class and reading the textbooks. Professors are worthless for the most part.

A friend, bro and I are currently working on creating an app/website/start up and while my friend has an engineering degree and is a software developer i still plan on learning a little something so that I can help out a bit with the coding. I plan on delving into photoshop as well soon. Just havent had time since I got the software to start learning.

Yeah man, honestly, I felt school was a scam. Most of what I know was self-taught. 100% of my programming knowledge came from me buying a ton of books and experimenting. Sure, you can learn from school, but if you're going to be paying $40,000 plus, the teachers should cater everything towards you learning relevant material.

It's cool that ya'll are deciding to engage in some entrepreneurial experiments on the side. I find that a MUST in this day and age. I plan on doing websites and games eventually once I get the knowledge. What language are you looking into?

Right now my friend says that he is slowest with front end programming so I plan on learning some HTML5 and CSS.

Just a bit so when he goes through some roadblocks I can offer another POV. Also so theres another perspective on our team as far as things should look and be done.

I did all the mockups for the project using Balsamiq but he has freedom to change things as he sees fit.
