as far as the gift...i tend to follow their lead on that shyt. if they get me a gift...fukk it...i'll get them a gift of similar value. if they don't mention it fukk it I aint buying shyt. That's only when I have just met the girl though (lets say within 3-4 months). Otherwise...i'd say unless yall are in an exclusive relationship you shouldn't be buying any girl a gift period.
As far as the african girl thing there are a lot of cons:
- They expect the man to pay for everything and african dudes are simps so they expect that behavior from nikkas born in the West
- They expect everything to be done traditionally but they do not have the submissive attitudes that would promote such tradition. They often have a lot of attitude and entitlement is what I'm saying
- Their parents are pains in the asses
- Lot of them are materialistic and self hatred sometimes exists (light skin worship, weaves)
- There are often cliques / communities depending on where the girl is from. For instance, theres a somali community, a ghanaian one, nigerian one etc. In these communities everyone frequents the same parties, churches events and shyt and as a result peoples' business spreads. Better yet girls get passed around like hoes and youd be none the wiser if you dont do the knowledge.
Pros
- A lot of them come from traditional families / two parent homes. They've seen their mothers take care of the home and probably have siblings or a dad they had to take care of. As a result the ones who know how to treat a man REALLY know how to do so.
- Bodies be crazy
- Same pros that come with most women
- Education plays a big role in some of their upbringings
Overall, african girls aint no different from the rest. I love them (because I'm african) but theyre nothing special or transcendent compared to your typical african americans. If anything...they be trying to act like americans so...That's really all I was trying to say
