theres nothing wrong with liking a woman a lot. but when u find urself consumed by her, u are setting urself up for some serious problems. a breakup isnt just a breakup. a breakup can shatter ur life in so many ways...i.e. ur job performance takes a hit (cause u cant concentrate), u descend into very destructive behavior (drinking, drugs...etc), which leads to jealousy, anger, which can then lead to crimes (beating up whoever ur ex is now dating, stalking). then u find out all the time and money u put into the relationship have been reduced to memories, memories that are now wrapped in sadness and sealed with regret.

I don't disagree necessarily though I'd say only a subset of women are like that
I don't know how well you can relate since you're African, though, but some Africans definitely be in their kids ears when it comes to dating diasporans. Will even smile in your face while doing it.

Dude Im African. And particularly Nigerian. and Im not psychoanalyzing his situation for sh1ts and giggles. theres lessons to be learned here. i speak the way i speak mainly from experience.

and when u experience a breakup that u didnt want to happen, u must figure out what u did wrong. yeah, u can do everything perfectly and have a girl still leave u. but did u really do everything perfectly? if u did, u wouldnt give a ratass whether or not she leaves because soon as she leaves there will be a girl in her place within the SAME day, literally.

i once had a girl tell me "i think im falling in love with but i get the feeling u can take it or leave it". guess who dominated the relationship? thats right. me. this same girl, whenever i did something to piss her off, guess how quickly she forgave me when i gave even the leanest half-ass apology? yup, u guessed it again. fast!

Your inferences as to why she did what she did is a huge leap without more details is off. Could easily be that she told her family about paying off debt and a lot of African families put a premium on finances and money and looked down on it. Could be a number of things.

It was probably a little bit of both. For her to drop the nuke on him like that was definitely pre-meditated and someone on the outside convinced her it was the right move. I'm not African but I am aware that family will usually make the decisions for her, whether it makes sense or not.

From what I understand they worked together and lived together. So they never had enough time apart to miss each other. I still think it's a salvageable situation but it's going to take some real deal no contact for her to even consider coming around and viewing Reinscarf in an attractive light again.
