Chicks don't agree with "rules of engagement" when it's not in their favor.

would it reasonable to say that some of those rules are based in ancient/religious models of men/women? As, in the idea that a "FWB" cannot be treated in any way outside of the narrow mode.

And the alcohol aspect, (no one is sober at 3:00 AM) What does it say about people that they/we need use alcohol to open up the part that desires people? Or desires sex outside of a traditional relationship structure. Don't all these concepts seem like they are in the long shadow of extremely socially conservative thought?

In my mind, humans have been mating for something like 300,000 years?
But we haven't really been living in settled societies for more than 10,000? (which changes the calculus on "choosing")
Romantic Love, Courting, Formal Marriage are all within the last 500 years.
And we've only had the pill for 50 years?

There's been a ton of social change, meanwhile the hardware has largely stayed the same.

On this post, we're at the very edge of a new way of thinking about sex for the sake of sex, and somewhat in the background in terms of relationships/marriage. We're not thinking about survival in a harsh world.

Those old things don't disappear. We're basically fighting biology and sociology at the same time.
