TIk Tok is highly highly addictive. When I see friends scroll through it, it's almost stunning for me to watch in real life. It's so obviously unhealthy. Cigarettes and slot machines are one thing, but Tik Tok is legitimized by the media and our entire society.

Chick I'm messing with right now likes to mindlessly scroll through tiktok or IG while laying in bed. It is absolute insanity when I watch it in action. Video clips of mostly dumbass bullshyt, each one engineered to be a mini terrorist hijacking your emotions and assaulting your senses. And just as quick as you assimilate to the context of the video....SWIPE! Next one. SWIPE! next thing. And to know that each one of those swipes is timed, catalogued, compared, sorted and then used to find you MORE of that bullshyt.... .

If the "black box" algorithm is in charge of all your sources because you use tiktok for news, entertainment, fashion, music, sports etc etc then you are no longer free. You are being carefully sculpted, video by video, to be a slave to the platform. To be what they want you to be: another mindless dummy devoid of critical thinking skills, and even better, without the patience or attention span to research the myriad ways we as a society are collectively getting fukked.We live in a world where "brainrot" is a legit phenomenon happening to people throughout the ranks of our society. " Tiktok brain" grannies gonna be baby sitting some "iPad kids" while the " gen-z stare" parents go to jobs they can't hold down because they wanna quiet quit after getting shamed for not being able to read and write cursive (my homeboy told me about an intern that got fired from his company for literally not being able to do the research the job required because he couldn't read the cursive written on old documents).

I saw a college chick pull out a mini tripod from her back pack, put her phone on the tripod on a table, back up 20 feet or so and begin to do some wack ass dance to no music, all by herself. the game has changed soo much, even men in these spaces can be behind the curve in some aspects. Social media taking off and essentially giving people access to your women in unlimited ways is just something most cant wrap their heads around. I remember telling friends before this decade that women would have their sex tapes on their IG/social media by the end of '20s not knowing how it would happen but just stating the slippery slope. Whats funny is even strippers used to laugh at the women who did onlyfans at that time. Covid happens they ALL hop on and now I can go a week with "normal" working women trying to justify why its ok.

Ultimately social media and pop culture has completed the transformation where women are fine being prostitutes as long as you dont call them one.

Its the whole Metaverse thing, Online these folks are the most important people ever while in the real world they are nobody lol.
