this still ignores the cultural problem we have. The Culture gap is what separates entertainment to an algorithm telling you who you are. It's like the arguments back in the day of Rap Music or Video Games. I listened to the most demonic rap but I did not let it define who I am because I had cultural elements installed in me as a child of who I am culturally and our standards, now when the same child/teen lacks that instillation and is being raised by a TV or phone the results are not the same.

All that is fair but

Parents thought it was ok to cede control over to Ipads, IPhones, whatever, because they thought it was ok for them too. Not just ok, but beneficial. There was no labeling, no warning, no education about the tech. Even R rated movies had a rating. Parents could chose to let their kids watching R rated movies, pick and choose, but they KNEW it came with risks.

And they have tightened it's pull with short videos and algorrthimic control, and downward age retention rate since. The messaging and marketing around social media from EVERYBODY was positive, in those crucial years.

Dudes think that holiday depression women get is a game lol. They have no escape from family and work events + work slows down so more time to think about where they are in life and how empty they feel when theh cant use parties/vacations as an escape.

Winter is the season folks aint got shyt to do besides maybe concerts or Caribbean trips but still vacations slim down due to family focused holidays. For men we got sporting events, movies, gym, etc that keeps us busy so its much easier for us to lock in in general in addition to by nature most of us have adventure instincts where we can explore things solo while every chick ive talked to who traveled or done things solo hated it lol.

I’ve been sitting on likes and will probably start spam matching come spring/summer assuming the accounts are even active (i prob got like 3-400 likes on Hinge from this yr but spent most the year out the country lol)
