I'm so clueless at the gym. I don't know how anything works :hamster::lupe: I'm so glad my sister was with me cuz otherwise I would have looked really dumb.

I was feeling it though :obama: had my "gym" music playing I can get used to this.

I also need to make a diet/gym schedule but I don't know where to start. :sadbron:

I just want to tone up. I'm very thin already and my metabolism is super fast. I've lost a ton of weight recently and my only fear is losing more. I wanted to book a session with a Personal trainer but I backed out at the last minute :sadcam: I really don't know what I'm doing at the gym and could use some pointers. :hamster: There is an option there of a "free induction" which I should have taken advantage of.


I'm 5'8 120 pounds

What prompted you to lose weight so quickly?

"Tone up" is a pejorative in the fitness world. It sounds like you want to build some muscle. I know that sounds scary, but building muscle does NOT mean becoming big and manly. You need to do a couple of things:

- Hit every muscle group 2-3x a week (a full body workout that many times a week should be fine)
- Make strength gains over time (be able to do more weight for the same number of reps)
- Learn how to eat (track daily calories & protein)
- Gain weight in a controlled manner (muscle = weight; you will probably hit your ideal around 140-150lbs)

It's a lot to learn but once you get your head around it all it becomes second nature.

I lost weight due to stress. Yes I want to build muscle but not too much.
Thank you :salute:it will be hard because my fitness level isnt the best, but I'm willing to give it my all.

I'm glad to finally be making some reliable gains.... but I'm pissed off with all the years I spent in the fukking wilderness :snoop:

I started lifting ~10 years ago.... probably only made the most out of 3-4 of those. No worries though, better late than never. Glad to have not been sidelined completely by any injuries but I definitely did some damage :francis: Onward and upward

bicep curl pyramid up to 12
3 sets of db rows
3x concentration bicep curls

How does that sound as a back workout? :patrice:
