I feel like my gym has a crazy amount of people doing shrugs for a gym with casual lifters and I have no clue why.

In the neighborhood of right but some of those scenarios and logic are :gucci:

I was hearing him until He said it takes your body a lot of hours and calories to break down fiber. I thought fiber doesn’t get broken down or consumed by the body: it jsut passes through. It’s too much conflicting information out their in the fitness universe. I agree though with the protein intake. I don’t get more than 120 on a good day

I "think" he meant for it to pass through the body. I generally get what he meant. He lost me on:

  • 80 grams of protein at breakfast
  • Totally disregarding protein intake timing for someone trying to grow muscle. The research is trending towards spreading the daily intake out and getting 3-5 servings per day if you are trying to grow. Seems strange and counter productive to suggest someone try to get in 100 plus grams of protein and 340 plus grams of carbs in an IF window when they are a "hard gainer" and likely not prone to eat a lot anyway.

Not at all:heh:.That 120 is a good day. I probably get around 90 regularly But I was IF and Keto so I had to watch my protein intake but now I be like fukk it. I believe i plateaued in Keto. My job did a biometric screening on me and they measure my body fat at 16(it was actually 15 with a decimal but rounded upwards). I’m definitely slim-toned. My broad say I look like Tupac in the ‘I get around’ video.

I’m taking my fitness journey slow as a snail. When you taking it as slow as me, nothin fazes you. I’m at 165. Been at around 165 for about a month. I’m contempt there for now until my schedule opens up(when my kid goes back to school) and I can dedicate more hours to the gym. I actually can’t wait. When you forced to take things as slow as I do, it gives you plenty of time to research and prep for your next moves. Can’t wait to introduce carbs back into my life.

Your life really does flash before your eyes when you bench without a spotter and that bar starts traveling back towards you.

Was feeling myself and went for 365 which I haven’t touched in AGES.

Got it about 3/4 of the way up and it felt like someone stood over me and started pushing it down

Made the lift but that shyt was a legit ugly grinder.

Now after all that life flashing before my eyes stuff I’m over here sad as shyt about the way the show ALF ended again

Rack pulls are back in style at my gym. As expected, more bars bent. :snoop:

I hate when gyms allow this shyt. :snoop:

I would leave my gym if that happened. We only have two racks. We have a dedicated shrug machine and these guys load it up.
