On another note, a week into my recovery.

I work out 3-4 days but I want to be more consistent with it moving forward. I wanted to find some kind of utility bench so I could do abs, as well as workouts with a dumbbell or bench press. I'm extremely skeptical of the listing on Amazon and I think you are right on the money about me having to spend more than im willing to part with right now. The closest gym to me is Planet Fitness but there is a more hard nosed gym near me that's only charging $15 a month @The Butcher
breh buy an entry level rack from Rogue fitness, and a bench from Rogue or Rep fitness, and a Bar and Plates from either.Brehs I would appreciate some advice. So I got some space in the basement and I was thinking about getting some kind of bench or home gym set up but when I was browsing Amazon it seems like no matter what the product is, the reviews go from 5 star "must have" to 1 star "avoid at all costs". Not really trying to take that monetary or health risk gamble.
Anyone have experience buying equipment for the house or would yall recommend just keeping it simple with a gym membership?
Btw I already have some dumbbells, kettle bells, jump rope, bike, and treadmill.
What ab movements would you do with a utility bench that you can’t do on the floor?I work out 3-4 days but I want to be more consistent with it moving forward. I Got thisTrue.
But how much will that run him?
I Got this
SML-1 Rogue 70" Monster Lite Squat Stand$415.00★★★★★★★★★★(667)
their adjustable bench
a bar
and like 400lbs give or take in plates for under 2k, maybe somewhere in the 1300-1700 range if my memory serves me correct. I also got a Plate tree but that isn't a must have so I didnt include that price
a man I'm rich, i aint worried about breaking evenAh. Can't stand squat stands, I'd need at least a cage. And 400# of plates would only cover me on upper body days.
Should work for @Capitol though since I'm assuming he's not that stronk yet.
At 1500 bucks that's 100 months of gym membership before he breaks even on his investment though.![]()

Was just pricing shyt out. Gonna run about $5800 for all the gear I want, minus dumbbells and a rack platform.
I can kinda see how folks do the home gym thing: if you not really big on lifting, or don't fukk with a lot of equipment, it could prolly replace the gym for you. It can't be me though. There's about 12-15 pieces of equipment I use on a typical week that I wouldn't have the space or change to cop.
I can't bush the gym unless I'm on the Iron Paradise set-up. And since I'll never have that Rock-level cash flow.
What accessory equipment?
8' x 8' oly platform
Vertical plate tree 2.0
230lb hi-temp bumper set
2x 45lb hi-temp bumper plates
245lb urethane grip plate set
10lb urethane olympic grip plate pair
6x 45lb urethane grip plates
Horizontal plate rack
2x 45lb Ohio power bar
R-6 power rack
Safety spotter arms
Adjustable bench
That's the bare minimum it's gonna take to keep my ass at home.
This is also in prices listed right now; I wonder how much the total drops once shyt opens up and people stop buying equipment like they bout that life.![]()
Gyms here busy but not packed; no mask or vax mandates here.![]()
