Son Goku
Great Sage Equalling Heaven
Just realized I was powerlifting my last 2-4 years of working out. Basically using explosiveness, technique and momentum to lift more weights. That made me strong but the muscle gains weren't as dynamic as they could have been.
A lot of brehs in the gym (when I was 174) would look at me like I was stronger then I looked when I was on the bench. I need to stay focused on bodybuilding style training
Heavy sets are calling me brehsI need to stick to high volume.
I will say powerlifting is easier then bodybuilding.
2 X 3 or 5 X 5 powerlifting training
vs
3 X 12 or till failure/drop sets/supersets bodybuilding training
Not sure what you were doing but that's not powerlifting.
Sounds more like Oly but I know you not C&Jing or snatching like that. If you just realized it after the fact you definitely weren't powerlifting, you were just doing low-volume on certain lifts. Not sure what the purpose of "bodybuilding" training is if you're not finna step on the stage.

IMO heavy weights >>>> *, but I think folks like to bush em because moving heavy weight is harder than moving lighter weights.
Best of luck in whatever you end up doing.

I need to stick to high volume.
