Powerlifting World Classic Open is going on if anyone is interested .

83kg Men are on right now. Joe Borenstein's introduction to the world.

93kg Men tomorrow. Return of Jonathan Cayco to the world stage.

Both should be the highlight of the competition.

Overall it's been pretty dull so far but it was never going to come close to last year. US Men don't have quite the juice or star power we had last year w/ guys like Russ, Pitre, Ashton and Bobb not being there.

I've enjoyed it so far. Yes there are a number of notable names missing but there has been some really good lifting especially on the women's side. Also good to see Perk dominate again and do what's necessary to set himself up to potentially win the next sheffield.

so I currently go to the gym 4 days a week….. i do cardio for 45 mins …. Hit the weight machines for like a half hour

I’m doing an intermittent fasting….drinking a protein shake in the morning…. Eating cherries in between and then lunch … which is either chicken and broccoli or salmon and broccoli. I’m trying to lose weight and get cut….. is it possible to gain some muscle even tho I’m fasting? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Is my dieting the problem?

What do u suggest?
At a base level growing muscle needs excess calories. You are trying to cut so those two don’t square. There is more there but that’s the simple situation.

Best suggestion is to continue to cut and think about adding muscle once that’s complete.

Yea, that’s what I figured…. Does it make sense to hit the weights while I cut?

Say breh, I was thinking about cutting. Tomorrow is my last workout before I had a scheduled deload anywaym I put on like 25 pounds since November after I started working out, and it's certainly not all muscle. How would I go about maintaining muscle or should I just accept im going to lose something
