i just had my first real workout of my life brehs. my friend is a personal trainer so i signed up for his "boot camp" i can't feel my arms but feel incredible. im happy to start my journey on a healthier path. i can barely turn the wheel on my car right now. im dead lol. i like the boot camp like environment because other bootcampers motivate you to go harder. and shoutout to the fat people trying to get slim, saw motherfukkers going hard in there, im skinny as fukk trying to gain muscle and i was dead tired. :salute:

Been stuck at 230/235lbs for seemingly a month. Never weighed less than that in my life. I really want to get to 205/210lb and be done. Been mixing it up. My appearance is slimming scale just hasn't reflected it last couple weeks. About to go heavy on the weights for a while and see if that helps my cardio in the future.

Other than replacing fat with muscle idk what else to try.

I haven't been to the Coli since mid 2013 but I miss The Gym!

I need some guidance: I'm deadlifting (Romanian stiff leg with an arched back) the highest I've ever done and I want to keep increasing but I've been getting weird soreness in the back bottom of my pelvic bone. Not shooting pain, but very weird stiffness. This started once I started taking Hula kahiko dance class 2 months ago, which require me to be in a semi squat position, arched back, and on the tips of my toes most of the time. I'm thinking the dance class requires flexible hips and maybe my deadlifts are fighting with that. I don't want to stop either though. If I transition to rack pulls or sumo for a few months, and then come back to Romanian, will I still be able to deadlift a high amount of weight Romanian style? Are the deads compromising my hip flexibility and if do, how do I combat this?

What weight are you deadlifting?

Chicks who lift BTW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

U might just need to stagger them differently through the week. I.e. not do them back to back or on the same day, take some time off between.

look up some hip mobility stretching, preferably something dynamic like w a band. if you do them right before you lift i find it kinda forces the ball back into the socket and the added weight hammers in the mobility you're trying to achieve. this is what i've been doing and it seems to have worked wonders for me since my shoulder surgery for my hips, ankles, shoulders etc.

still haven't found a way to get past my lower back/hamstring stiffness though :sadcam: even w the stretching, kinda feeling defeated about it tbh.

Met some of the dudes who'll be in the navy OCS class with me next week...they all around 5'10 and LEAN. Got a couple of jabs that it'll be hard to run 1.5 and be swole like I am.:banderas:

I've cut out squatting and got off the creatine and I'm at 206. Got my 1.5 down to around 11:30...week to go and only getting better.:whew: Got the prison workouts down so I'll be good without a gym.

I did not even think of hip mobility stretching! Some of these moves look like yoga asanas with bands, I dropped yoga for the dance class so this would explain the timing of the pain because I never had issues deadlifting before. I youtubed and printed out some of these mobility exercises and will try this out this weekend after I find some bands. Sorry to hear about the shoulder surgery, my brother had it a few years back and he has not been able to lift the same (but also doesn't take care of himself as well as you).

I've always stayed away from good mornings, maybe because I can't get the form correctly. I'm going to try working on my form for this to see if it helps with my dead gains.

Dance class practices are twice a week at night, I lift during my lunch break when/if I don't have long ass meetings. I just try to get the lifts in 2-3x a week when I can man, I wish I had the luxury of organizing it better or more consistently during the week. I don't feel the issues with my hips until the morning after for both though.

Do I have to lower my already low for my size calorie intake to continue losing fat or is the process just slowing up? I can now see my first row of abs, my shoulders, traps, legs and arms are all more defined and everything is good but I feel like I've plateued just a bit these past two weeks.

Considering I bike twenty miles a day and still work every muscle heavy I feel if I eat Amy less it might become a health risk though.

Definitely want some advice on this.
