Do you mean you couldn't do them at all or a certain number of reps?

Couldn't do them at all. Hadn't even tried one since high school, I don't even have a good reason either :snoop: between all the boxing, jiu jitsu etc that I've done I somehow have never been asked to do any and I never bothered.

The music had me feeling some type of way after I got done with deadlifts and rows so I sized up the pull up bar and went for it. Now @Serious will have to have gripes with my wrestling shirts I wear to the gym instead of lack of functional strength

:merchant: at that jack3d settlement. Man I used to practically live off that stuff most of 2010-2012

I was sleeping on them. The pump they give your back is :noah:. I'm building up toward hypertrophy reps and also working weighted sets.

Pullups are even better if u actually think about what you're doing i.e., lowering yourself in a controlled way rather than letting Gravity do it. Its a very high-integrity movement meaning you can't cheat it, you can either pull yourself up or you can't.

First time I've done a full BB style back workout in 5 months since I've been on a upper/lower split.

Could barely finish it :deadmanny:

Yeah

You?
I was off for a minute, then went back like 4-5 months ago, then been back off for the last 3 weeks, need to get back into it before I leave it for too long and my window of muscle memory is closed. Again.

:sadcam:
:patrice: I've been using my girl as weight for cathletics does that count :shaq:

Been out the gym for the like 3 months, but I'm still not :flabbynsick: still at the same weight,:patrice: still eating healthy :manny:

I'm get 24 hour fitness soon so that I can go when no one is around. I can't get free around 4pm like I used to. So If I go I run into traffic at LA fitness, finding a spot to park, waiting for the squat rack :scusthov:, might be time I also try out a more premium gym, as well...

No. Not unless ya girl the same size as you :mjpls:

That's good you still at the same weight, if I'd stop for that long I'd probably lose 8-10 pounds.

I always get a strange numbness in my left forearm/wrist/hand when I do dumbell bench press and it totally takes me out of the lift mentally. I have given up on DB benching in the past because of it, and I'm back at it again today for the first time in a while and sure enough the numbness came on right away.

Never get it when I barbell bench or do dips. I can't see how it is a grip strength problem either because I use way heavier dumbells to do rows and never feel it

New Years Resolution:

No more nutrition talk with anyone not interested is researching and articles

Nope
So fukking true...nyggas arent trying to listen if it's not conventional to them. Attention span of 5 seconds...

I got my deadlift to 315 pr, iffy ish form. It's a start upward, I started doing rack pulls to increase it but it's still significantly behind my squat. Least it's something.

Doing more of a strength training routine for the winter, focusing on getting more girth on my back (n/h)

Finally got access to a rotating platform stair climber machine
:blessed:

What is a 'normal' rate that yall use on that?

I didnt know what to do so I did 80 steps per minute for 10 minutes and my quads were on fire and my heart rate creeped up into the 180's

Today I went to an alternate YMCA a couple miles from the one I normally go to

The workout equipment at this one is :ohhh:

For cardio I finally have access to a rotating stair climber and also a high incline treadmill:blessed:

The cross training and plyometric setup at this location is :wow:

This is a fat-cutting dream

......but I stopped fat cutting a couple weeks ago and cant take advantage of it :mjcry:

Trying to add some chest mass so its all just gonna have to wait for a while:mjcry:

But there is no steam room or pool/hot tub at this location and the sauna isnt even very hot and is smells like a steakhouse:why:

I have been meditating in the sauna for 20 minutes after every workout recently so I dont want to give that up

Im torn on which location to use
