Im not overweight(probably a little I had some heath issues and I had to eat alot for medications and never worked it off yet)

but I do want to be more in shape.

It has an interesting weekly rotation to keep things interesting and it is good for getting in shape or building a base somewhat quickly.

If you have a history of lifting, you can add in weighted dips to the chest and triceps day to make things more intense

In the gym... indicates how my workout is going

My shoulders are fried, first 5 sets on flat went ok

By the time i was on 2nd set of incline my shoulders said nah

bout to annihilate arms to feel better

I've been trying a more high volume style of training this week (not GVT). I'm sore everywhere.

Gave my legs that work yesterday. Tried to walk around afterward, and my quads were cramping something serious I stretched and everything too.

Gvt cool I actually got stronger on it because I broke the rule about time between sets in favor of heavier weight

Started 5:3:1 yesterday with overhead press

135lbs: 5 reps
155lbs: 5 reps
175lbs: 7 reps

Auxiliary movements:
Alternating Db press (top-down)
65lbs per hand 3x8

High pulls
225lbs: 3x8

Alternating Dumbbell shrugs (top-down)
65lbs per hand: 3 sets to failure


You're prob wondering what top down means. For db press it just means you start with the Dumbbells overhead, bring one down and back up, then the same with the other. Makes shyt way harder because of all the tension
