Is anyone ready for the crowds next week?

I"m not. My gym was extra crowded for a Friday. I know I said the same thing last year but they ended up closing my gym so maybe we did need the extra people:russ:

The bench, squat racks, and cable machines are about to be crazy:snoop:


That's when I start going to the university rec center.

It's a few minutes further away, but no New Year's resolutioners because everyone is still on winter break :blessed:

any tips on faster leg day recovery??? i'm going on day 5 of straight up soreness and am really re-evaluating become one of those skipping leg day muthafukkas...

How often do you do legs? The more you do em the less soreness you get.
And what's your routine looking like?

Even though it sounds stupid, make sure you stretch. It helps me a lot.

If you're sore for more than two days and it is something you regularly do you, you should change up what you're doing.

good to hear...i just started hittin the gym like a month ago and done them three times already...the first two, i felt the soreness, but it went away after a day or two...I did legs on Monday (fukkin killed it!!) and it don't feel like it's lettin up...it's Friday night and i'm still wincing and pain when i sit down and trying to avoid having to leave the apartment cause i don't wanna go down all them fukkin stairs :snoop:

i was only planning on doin legs once a week, but if it's gonna hit like this every time i kill it, i might have to switch it up...

Man i got hit by some depression these past couple days. Haven't wanted to leave the dang house at all. Just lay in the bed and sleep.
Im gonna try to hit it timorrow hopefully i can muster up some juice.

damn, sorry to hear that fam...i actually started hittin the gym to help pull me out of the darkness and give me something productive to do instead of layin around all day...just try to commit to it being the first thing you do once you wake up is all the advice i can give...hope you get over this soon...

yeah it'll be like that when you 1st starting. everyone goes through that don't be a leg day skippin nikka :bamafdup:
those pains will go away. you don't realize how little you use your legs until you actually work them out :pachaha:
only suggestion i can give you is maybe don't kill your legs on one day, but break it up into 2 days. so you can slow it down a little bit

Been gone..,from this thread...for a minutiae. moving to an independent facility again next month, not trying to deal with the Jan/feb riff raff that crowds 24 hour fitness this time of year.


Had a big falloff these last four months, really hoping that setting a more attainable schedule (at the top of the year I was doing two a days 3 days a week and exercising 7 days a week) helps me recommit.

All these people come out during the holidays thinking they can come do a few machines and walk on the treadmill and they got the gym in :stopitslime:
