Yeah, no, I understand. I don't expect most normal folk to be in the gym longer than me. (My workouts are not very efficient from a time perspective.) Usually doing 8-13 exercises to the tune of 40-52 sets a WoD.

But to assign such an arbitrary time limit just has me :scust:. I'd prefer the setup we have (X amount of folks at a time max; if you get there and the limit's been reached, you wait it out or go home :camby:.)
An hour isn’t arbitrary tho...most people go to the gym for an hour. That’s literally the sweet spot amount of time people are willing to commit to. Only cardio warriors and gym rats regularly stay in the gym 2+ hrs every workout.

Y’all talking about bad weather, it’s only 70’s here but my heat box of an apartment traps all of it (common thing in Oakland homes). It’s 9:45 am and 75 degrees in my shyt with the backdoor and windows open. This is the part of working out at home that will be tough, these warm days when it’s too damn hot to workout in here. I might have to workout at 6am still :heh:

Why though?

Always have. Even as a jit during PE.

Coach: "Go run a big-ass lap/mile/whatever"

Lil Me: :damn:

Specific reasons: 1) Cardio sucks so I have no endurance. If I ran more it'd be better but since I hate running.
2) It uses energy I could spend lifting.
3) My fast-ass metabolism. Goes hand in hand with reason #2. A nikka can only eat so much.
4) Hate going outside. Can only run on indoor tracks or treadmills.

Why do you hate running?
i hate it also. something about running fukking annoys me, i just find others forms of cardio to be more efficient or entertaining - kickboxing, jump rope, spin, hiking or brisk walks, hill sprints or stairs or incline tread. running feels like endless high impact cardio for no reason, it literally makes me angry.

I low-key envy y'all.

When I move into a house Imma get a set-up, but only to use as a Plan B.

Idk what it is but those home workouts don't hit the same. :sadcam:

if i had a garage i would have gone all out, but i have an open are layout on my first floor so im just making space. It aint pretty but its my damn house lol. My future crib im def making sure i have a garage and or basement so i can really do it up

How much do you now compared to when you just started lifting?
Takes some getting used to. It's one of the things I used to hate that I like doing now along with situps.
Its good you kept at it.

i can appreciate that last statement. These days I don’t run or jump rope unless on a joint friendly surface.

At the end of the day running isn’t the end all for cardio. Folks just have to do some thing to keep that ticket right.
