don't get it twisted, that was just to get a little pump for the mirror. the real workout would've been at least quadruple that :ufdup:

Eh. I'm cool on that calisthenics shyt. If it works for you, that's wassup. :manny: Very few bodyweight exercise feats are impressive to me. :hubie:

Me and one of my gym boys always argue about this shyt. He's all about aesthetics and doing "unique" shyt like upside down dips. He'd rather look like a black superhero but can't spot you on any lift, coach/give tips, or lift heavy on anything (can't bench/squat/dead 2-3-4 plates) :ufdup: :scust:.

Meanwhile, even though he's a lil bit leaner than me, I literally put up almost double on all his lifts :lolbron: (I've only got 20-25 lbs on him). He always shyts on me for being strong and not doing random shyt; I give him crap for not following a program and not going heavy (he rarely eem breaks a sweat).

I always compare it to cars: He looks like a Ferrari but has a Civic engine and fuel economy; I look like a Civic but crank out Ferrari power ang get 10 mpg. :wow:

When you chase numbers like that you end up being relatively aesthetic. Could I be more impressive if I made it my focus? Sure.


Brb still more muscular and leaner than 90% of gym goers. Hoes notice when you lift heavy ass weight too, they just tend to spend less time by the racks and platforms. :sas2:

It’s usually my rest day but would it be safe to work out still?:lupe:

oh & I re weighed myself yesterday . Lost 5lbs so far . That’s if scale is accurate :russ:

this is within last two weeks

I thought fasting help lose body fat ?

im tryna get my percentage down it’s at 25% right now. 222lbs was 227lbs two weeks ago.

I’d prefer to stay at current weight & just lose body fat %

So I guess you say no?:russ:

It can by virtue of not consuming calories. At the same time you want to maintain muscle mass yet also plan to not feed those same muscles. Doesn’t seem optimal. Also you can’t really lose body fat and maintain the same scale weight. Not easily anyway.

People make a leap about what fasting does and doesn’t do. At its core it’s about restricting calories. Other benefits can come along with it but honestly those are secondary and a lot of times people claiming to get them aren’t even truly fasting.

Bottom line you have to look at what works best for what you are trying to do and how you currently train. It’s not worth adjusting everything else just to claim you do IF. You literally have people in TLR talking about it’s a struggle not to eat or it takes X amount of time to adjust. If so what’s the point?!
