Been doing push-ups like they’re going out of style. I have dumbbells to 35 at the crib, better than nothing

Did a lil chest routine with some 50s in my apartment gym yesterday, got some tiny soreness in my chest :ahh:

This quarantine has been godly to a breh's body :mjcry: took up yoga and flexibility 5-6 days a wk, which has my knee feeling almost 100% again, which finally got me to get back to lower body training, which finally got me back to effective full body training. And back on my bike. Add in that I'm cooking 90% of my food again (grill szn :blessed:).

I told myself I wouldn't check scale until next wk, but visual progress if I had to guess I'm back to my adult foundational 185-190 range. I can see my uppers again, and I just got a couple inches left on my donut (it was a full spare coming into quarantine :mjlol:). I would be semi-beach-ready if shyt was normal :wow: wanna get down to 185 before I start upping cals again.

Edit: if only I could go to the gym and run 5s again

That’s always been the saving grace of this gym. Very few people that focus on compounds that use the racks. They are more likely to do three sets of squats with no depth and then six accessories. Any well they were done with the rack by the time I was ready so no big deal but I’ll be damned that we have a dedicated shrug machine, a trap bar and they were doing barbell shrugs with 185 an no range of motion :gucci:

Finally got to my squats and got a headache during the second warmup set :francis:

Stayed in the rack for damn near an hour and a half letting them throbbing go down after each set :yeshrug:

1) One creh was low-key waiting for a rack. One dude I know suggested I give up my rack so cac could squat. I hit the lol + :camby: and kept overhead pressing.

Ten mintues later I told breh the cac he was :cape: for was in a rack doing pull-ups with a 30 or 40 lb dumbbell between his feet. Dude was just lying about squatting to try and cop a rack. He looked at dude like :mindblown:. I hit breh with the :ufdup: and kept working.


2) A spicy cac and his friend were in another rack. Dude was low-key tryna flex. Tell me how he worked up to not one but 2 grindy-ass squat singles at 315 and didn't even approach parallel with his homeboy back spotting him :wtf:.

Damn near blow your back out ego-lifting bytch weight, crehs :dead: :deadrose:.

The fukkery today felt like disrespect to all my brehs in here that aren't able to go to the gym right now:

  • Aspiring personal trainer not able to hit depth after 2 sets of 135
  • Dude that usually does 2.5 hours of dumbbell/machine arm work and push-ups loaded up the bar for squats in the rack today
    • Me: :leon:
    • 1st Set: 115, not parallel
    • Me: :gucci:
    • Works up to 185 with the same depth :beli:
    • Spends 30 minutes on leg press doing that and calf raises working up to 8 total plates:martin:
