Brehs I fukk'd up:francis:.

I was down to 10 % body fat about 2 months ago (never measured ,but when your six pack is still ripped even even when taking big deep breaths, ya know)

Anyway the Shutdown hasn't actually changed anything gym wise for me, it actually took up my physique up a slight notch.
I'd always been doing calisthenics, since gyms closed I never stopped exercising at the park, followed or preceded by intense jogging and sprinting DAILY(6 days/7)..
My physique was incredible, even a month ago:takedat:

Now for the fukk up, I aggravated my ankle. It had gotten to the point where if I run on it Monday, I'd barely be able to walk properly Tuesday... I knew I was aggravating the injury by continuing to run, but didn't wanna lose my precious "gains" , I came to my sense and ceased all sprinting and jogging.:mjcry:
Mind I love sprinting and doing intese timed jogs. :wow:

That's helped the ankle heal up tremendously, however my current girl is a great cook and can bake, she makes mean pies(real pies not that crap in America:troll:) homemade pizza's the whole nine.:sadcam:

Now I should point out I'm an intermittent fasting guy. My first big meal is around 11am and my last is at 18:00h, meaning there's 16-17hours of fasting between my last and first major meal.
All this stuff helped clean my gut, helped regulate the feeling/craving hunger, forced my body to breakdown all the food intake etc etc it feels(felt great).:ehh:

Since the ankle injury, I obviously stopped sprinting and intense jogging. So I'm hardly getting any cardio, on top of that my girl had been cooking and baking (with butter) etc and I've gobbling that shyt up like an animal.. Yesterday morning for the first time since last year my stomach had recognizable jiggle of fat on the lower abs:huhldup:.
I almost went into panic mode but I know what needs to happen.

Caloric deficit, train on a fasting stomach, full body exercise, increase intensity and only eat 2 clean meals a day, the last being veges and lots of fluids/water.

I've been doing that the past 2 days.
It's shocking how quickly you can fall off.
Mind you I trained 6 days a week for almost 5 months non stop, I got arrogant in how great of shape I was in.. I knew I shouldn't have been eating pizza's, let alone baked sconnes and all that delicious shyt.

I just came here to confess my indiscretions to gym Brehs. I can post a pic of how ripped I was before vs how I look now.

Breh not having a ripped 6 pack feels like I'm disabled :sadbron:

Also the "ripped" look is very frustrating coz you look great but physically you're actually weaker, having a bit of body fat on you is actually good for you, I'm physically stronger..can gym Brehs explain this phenomena :lupe:

Oh, okay, so we low-key bragging in this hoe?:ohhh: :russ:

On the real though, having more fat benefits you on a couple levels (only to a certain point):
1) You have more potential energy to draw from so you could theoretically lift more if you body can catabolize those fat stores. Your genetics will determine how readily your body chooses to do so.

2) Fat takes up space on your frame, more than the same mass of muscle. If you have a bigger frame, it changes you leverages on certain lifts, sneakily decreasing your ROM and allowing you to lift more. This is more noticeable on bench and squat, not so much on deadlift.

3) Fat is used in the production and metabolism of certain hormones and micronutrients. If you have optimal fat levels, your body can produce and use these things more efficiently than if your bf levels are too low.

@The ADD did I miss anything? Still at the gym tryna hurry before folks swing by.

Hard to say big picture and I’m probably going to get off topic but :manny:

Body fat estimates when it’s not realistically measured is just kind of useless in the sense that I don’t think most people have an idea of what 10% or less body fat (Natty) truly looks like. Not to say the person isn’t in great shape but those percentages are just a guessing game if it’s not a dexa scan IMO.

More to your point it eventually comes done to performance. Is being “10%” BF or less really worth it lifestyle and gym wise? I guess it’s on the individual. I enjoy training so even on a cut I would rather arrange cals to have energy to train than to just lose weight. There are also qualifiers with amount of muscle relative to body fat so yes there are some people that have really low body fat but they also are just generally lean. Low body fat can be achieved different ways. Point being anyone could argue n=1 but that also doesn’t mean everyone could or should do it.

I’m rambling but I agree and don’t see the point of trying to achieve a certain percentage if you don’t really have a concept of what it means for your body and/or it hinders your training.

This makes perfect sense and is concise.

Quickest way to lose motivation for gym is get consistent p*ssy from a girl who cooks good. I swear shyt got me open

Im in Toronto, basically the same kind of chain called Goodlife Fitness.

These nikkas monopolized the industry up here. I'll put it on hold and go to a gym where i can work out for however long i need to.

60 mins??? you change its 10, you warm up its another 10, that leaves me with 40 mins to do a full push or pull day :heh: NO!
