What benefits do weightlifting shoes offer over socks? I can’t find a good youtube video on it

Socks get wet and if they don't have grippy material on the bottom offer no slip deterrence.

Oly shoes are really heavy and have flat soles with raised heels. Brb instant ankle mobility and stability.

Plus if you drop a plate on your foot you have something to protect you (a lot of Oly shoes have reinforced toeboxes).

I miss lifting weights..took a break because of bicep tendinitis. My plan is to wait until October to get back into it again

But in the mean time Im locking in on tryna finally complete this insanity program. Im on the last day of week 3 and the results are slowly but surely showing :ehh:

can’t imagine how my body gonna look once I’m done :wow:

I'd honestly stick to SL5X5 until you can hit 365 for one on command.

Second biggest regret (behind not starting sooner) is not having milked SL5X5 for another 3 to 4 months.

Lol breh im not a beginner i could prolly do 365 for 5 if i wanted. Stronglifts doesn't lend itself to give definition as ive done it before, only did it to to get a base after gym reopened

I let another breh tackle this for you then. I don't know of any three day splits for aesthetics. All the ones I know are for strength first and hypertrophy as an afterthought.


For size/definition, even three 3-hour sessions isn't gonna cut it from my neck of the woods. :unimpressed:
