I did DOUBLE UNDERS for the very first time in my life today. :wow: first did with the 1/4 rope and then the 3 oz one. @Cheesy, let me know if you need pointers on how to do that shyt. Theres some youtube videos that I watched that helped. However, I dont think they all explain the techniques right except for one person but they could have made it easier explaining it better. Im learning how to do heel taps and etc as well. As soon as my resistance bands come in, Im gonna focus on doing the muscle ups. Eventually im going to get more equipment to do more exercises.

Yes point me to some good explanations. Congratulations on the progress:salute:
I finished up my session today feeling like I kinda wanted to do some cardio but decided that cycling to and from the gym was enough:beli: could've used the time to practice double unders but didn't even cross my mind.

Here's a few videos that helped

Ill post more when I can find them.

If you got the jumprope form pat down then the trick is
to jump high enough to be able to speed the rope up fast enough to go over twice. The type of jumprope you get matters. Make sure you have a lightweight jumprope that you can speed up.

What you can do as a starting exercise is practice your regular jump rope bounce. Get yourself at a regular speed where you are able to get going. Do 10 of those but start speeding it up a little bit so you can basically prepare your arms to speed up. Next exercise you do is practice jumping higher but do it like you are jumping rope. Dont bend your knees or anything. Just practice jumping high. Then you can practice as you are doing a regular bounce jumping like 10 times then on the 11th jump, you jump as high as you can but in the same form that you are doing a regular bounce.

When you feel comfortable, start doing jumping rope at regular speed, do 10 to 20 jumps then speed the rope up while at the same time jumping as high as you can. The trick is to jump high enough in the right form while speeding up the rope that you are able over it twice.

The thing is when you make the double under, be aware of the speed of the rope as well as that you are jumping so you are able to slow it down and continue jumping. Its easy to trip after making a double under but thats when you have to be aware of the speed that youre moving the rope as well as being aware that you are jumping. So you can do a double under and then continue to jumprope. So when you complete it slow down.

Try to just get one double under in then continue to jump rope. Remember its about jumping high enough + speeding the rope up so really its about controlling the speed of the rope and your arms then jumping high. Try regular bounce for 20 to 30 jumps where you get comfortable with your arm speed and jumps then do a double under and go back to doing the regular bounce. I would recommend the speed LE performance cross rope set.

When i get the double unders pat down. It will be learning how to do the crossovers. Watching videos on how to do that shyt.

Im longing to learn how to swim. I want to be an expert swimmer where Im swimming like a pro. I feel a level of incomplete not knowing how to swim. Im going to start looking for classes. Dont care too much about learning at the YMCA. I want to be able to swim in the deep section and enjoy myself in the water. I also need to get me prescription swimming glasses. Im going to call my eye doctor if I could stop in and get a swimming glasses. Im dead serious about being healthy and staying fit. Ive been toying around with eating just 2 meals a day. Need more veggies and fruits in my diet. Im trying to stay alive and feel well because I know what feeling fukked up and out of shape feels like. Its no fun. And aside from the time i was a toddler, ive NEVER been a fat or chubby dude. Ive always been skinny af. My metabolism hasn't slown down one bit but ive had a history of eating problems growing up. I was an extremely picky eater. Knowing what I know about myself now, it all makes sense. Its unfortunate that my parents didnt have this information then. It would have helped a lot. Im trying to get more active because I know i can be LAZY as fukk.
