Unfortunately, there are very few sports where officiating doesn’t directly impact outcomes and takes away the player’s ability to fully control the game. I don’t think there are any conspiracies or agendas though...just bad or misinformed calls. Until technology is put in place to somehow assist in making the right calls, we just have to deal with the imperfections.

There’s an excuse for not knowing that you are actually not winning the game? I’ve seen HOF players miss free throws in the clutch. Can’t say I’ve seen many players of any caliber not know if they are winning or not in the clutch.

One important lesson I hope Bron learned from game one is why hero ball is needed and the place it has in the game. You know u have inept teammates so in situations like these u have to take that last shot at the end.

I know passing to Hill was TECHNICALLY the right play but man......u just had the best game of ur playoff career and ur down 1 to Golden State in the finals with seconds left in the 4th. You gotta take your destiny into your own hands at that point.

It would be the best strategy. I said it in another thread. Aside from James last night, the cavaliers shot 23-67 from the field and 7-30 from deep. Aside from LeBron and love (who went 1-8 from deep himself), they shot 14-47. It would make the game a lot easier for the warriors to just send everyone at LeBron and force the ball out of his hands. It’s not like anyone else is really capable of creating much.
